Per trovarsi di buon'ora a Firenze l'8 settembre, contadini e montanari erano costretti a partire dalle loro case nottetempo, provvisti di fiaccole e lanterne di varie forme. Il loro arrivo costituiva un divertente richiamo per l'allegro popolo Fiorentino ...
